The Brief
Hull Collegiate School based in Anlaby, Hull wanted a promotional film for their web site home page.
Video was not something they had used before as a main marketing tool but felt it would really help to give potential parents and pupils a real insight into what the school has to offer.
They were keen to get establishing shots showing the main school building and grounds as well as covering the wide variety of subjects they teach. Involvement of the children was also key as well as having the head teachers speaking about why you should choose Hull Collegiate.
Our Solution
The process started with a detailed meeting with the marketing team, which included a full tour of the school to get a good feel for how it all works.
We then worked on a storyboard to determine the shots needed as well as working through questions for the talking head parts of the video.
The project included a morning of drone video work to create the establishing shots of the building and grounds, which would be used for the intro and outro of the video.
The main filming took place over 2 days allowing us to capture the vast array of subjects they have on offer. Interviews with the Head Teacher, Head of Preparatory School and pupils were also filmed during this time.
Although the finished video is nearly 4 minutes in length the school thought this was necessary for the audience to get a real feel for the school.
Feedback has been positive since the video was released and is been used not only on the web site but also displayed on open days helping to promote the school.
