York Commercial Photography
As a York commercial photographer, I’ve seen for myself the impact a powerful image can have on its viewer. One thought-provoking image can reach an enormous global audience in just a few minutes, potentially changing the fortunes of the company who commissioned it forever!
Whether you’re hoping to affect people emotionally, champion a cause, or buy a particular product, I have the experience, expertise and passion required to make that happen. I’ve been involved in commercial photography projects for 8 years. I’ve worked with many different companies, of all sorts of sizes, to provide engaging product photography and I know how to capture a product image that will help it sell. I’m a York photographer, who works both locally and further afield. I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in enough marketing success stories to know the best way to approach photography destined for use in both press and PR.
I hold a Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card for carrying out photography on construction sites. I'm also a CAA approved drone operator with Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO).

Sectors
Head shot photography
All reputable companies should consider adding headshots to their websites if they haven’t already done so. It puts a personalised face on a brand and gives your staff a head start in developing a relationship with your customers. Wouldn’t you be more likely to trust somebody whose face you recognised from their company profile?
Hotel photography and food photography
These are two industries I work with frequently and two industries, which benefit greatly from strong images. Just as nobody would be tempted to sample an edible product that looked unappetising, travellers and holidaymakers are unlikely to book a room in a hotel based on an unflattering photograph they’d seen. Images shout far louder than words and strong images can be a great catalyst for business growth.
Event photography
If you’re spending money on organising or attending an event, then obviously you’ll want a good return on your investment. Professional event photography will document your big day and capture what happened in the best possible light. A blurry mobile phone image you captured of your main speaker won’t give you the professional kudos required to inspire trust in your customers.
